Guidelines
In this category, we are looking for games that contain a PvP or PvE component, feature action packed mechanics, and emphasize player skill.
Games that feature violence are allowed, but gratuitous overly graphic depictions are highly discouraged and will affect your Thematic Adherence score. Please be tasteful.
Requirements
Submission: Submitted via a hyperlink, playable on a desktop web browser, does NOT require a download or executable, and does NOT require a login or account sign up.
Our platform recommendations are Rosebud AI, Itch.io, R/GamesOnReddit however you are welcome to use any eligible platform of your choosing.
Permissions: Contains only Music, IP, Footage, and Likenesses that that you have permissions to use.
Eligibility:
Multiplayer games are eligible, however your submission MUST have a single player mode as our judging process happens remotely.
Text-based games are eligible. While interactivity is most important, don't forget even simple audio (i.e. music, SFX) and visual (i.e. font, color) considerations which will affect your Production Value score.
Length: Short and sweet is preferred due to judging time constraints. Your game should be completable in less than 30 minutes.
Creation Date: Made after February 1st, 2025.
Tool Usage: Features any AI tool in a significant way. If you are selected as a Sponsor Winner (i.e. The ElevenLabs Award), you will be asked for proof that you used that tool.
Optional, but Recommended:
We'd appreciate if you could share your film on social media and mention the Chroma Awards! Supporting us online really helps our competition and community grow, allowing us to bring on more sponsors, offer bigger prizes, and facilitate cool opportunities in future seasons.
